Step into a role where you're valued and treated like family. As a Caregiver with Interim HealthCare of West Michigan, you'll help seniors with the daily activities that have become hard for them, so they can stay safe and comfortable at home. You'll work one-on-one with each client.
Schedule
Full-time, part-time and as-needed (PRN) shifts. Availability varies by location.
What you'll do
- Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
- Help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
- Help with walking, transfers and range-of-motion exercises
- Give medication reminders, document the client's condition and tell a supervisor about any concerns
- Keep the home safe with clear, unobstructed pathways
- Share activities that bring clients joy, such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies
What you need
- 6 months of adult caregiving experience OR completion of a CNA course or certificate
- Two positive professional or personal references
- Compassionate, dependable and respectful with clients
- Able to work independently and communicate well with supervisors and the care team
- Reliable transportation
